Our blog posts about Lisbon

Lisbon is a great destination for a city break. We lived in the city for four weeks, worked and explored the city. It did not take long before the small streets and the great atmosphere of the city conquered our hearts.

The city has warm temperatures almost all year round, less than 20 minutes from the sea and has an incomparable melancholy charm.

Lisbon is a city for connoisseurs. Oh, and a city for people who are good on foot. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes, because you'll need them!

In our blog articles we show you which sights you should definitely look at, where you get the tastiest and most authentic food and much more.

You can travel to Lisbon all year round. Even in the winter months, it is still quite pleasant, as temperatures rarely fall below 10 degrees.

The best months for a city trip to Lisbon are April, May, September and October. At the time, it is not so pleasant in Germany and not too hot in Lisbon.

Portugal has the euro as its currency. Either you bring enough cash with you or you do it like we do and pick up cash at the ATM.

We have our travel credit cards that allow us to withdraw money free of charge worldwide. This makes travel much more pleasant. If you want to know more, read our article The Best Travel Credit Card .

Compared to other European cities, Lisbon is a relatively cheap destination. The hotel prices are in the high season, however, much more expensive than in the off season.

In the peak season of spring and fall, you should expect to pay more than 100 euros for a central hotel room.
